The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) is the premier nonprofit association serving the volunteer fire, emergency, and rescue services. Today, the NVFC serves as the voice of over one million volunteer firefighters and EMS personnel on Capitol Hill and provides valuable training, programs, and other resources.
The NVFC seeks a full-time Program Coordinator for our national office located in Greenbelt, Maryland. This position will assist in developing program resources such as toolkits, presentations and more; develop content for web sites, social media, and newsletters; organize and coordinate online and in-person training opportunities; coordinate with vendors; coordinate, plan and schedule various meetings; provide support for special projects; and other duties as assigned.
Attention to detail with excellent writing and verbal communications skills are a must along with an ability to work well in a small staff, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, a desire to grow and learn, and take ownership over their assigned project areas. Fire service experience is a plus. Bachelor's degree; two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
