The Director, Member Database, will be responsible for performing the development, operation, and support of technology systems that make up the member management program. The individual will serve as a technical expert for netFORUM and engage ULI staff to understand their needs and how they can be met within netFORUM. The individual is responsible for ensuring data interoperability between netFORUM and other third-party systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administrator for netFORUM association management platform (AMS) in iWeb, eWeb, and xWeb.
Provide senior-level technical support for Power BI and netFORUM query requests.
Retrieve and process data from SQL Server, MS Access, and MS Excel.
Provide senior-level technical support for member facing applications and integrations.
Support the integration of netFORUM with other platforms in use at ULI via xWeb and APIs (currently: Power BI, Real Magnet, Higher Logic, SpotMe, Zendesk, WordPress, and on-site event registration).
Develop and work with partners to develop additional integrations with netFORUM as needed.
Perform testing and quality assurance checks on internal development and development activities of partners.
Plan and recommend application improvements and cost optimization solutions.
Partner with Membership and Modeling & Reporting to identify data quality issues and implement solutions to improve data within netFORUM.
Develop and deliver training materials that support the member management program.
Establish relationships with business units to understand their data and operational needs that are supported by netFORUM and recommend appropriate solutions.
Serve as a project manager with responsibilities to include the following: administer and manage system changes by monitoring and responding to requests, analyzing requirements, determining priority and schedule, documenting solutions, and reporting on project progress.
May supervise outside contractors as necessary.
This position interacts with and supports all of ULI’s global and regional teams.
Must have senior-level technical proficiency in netFORUM Enterprise.
Must have senior-level technical proficiency in customizing netFORUM iWeb and eWeb.
Must have development experience in creating and supporting netFORUM xWeb and APIs.
Senior-level experience in ETL (extract, transform, load) across multiple data sources.
Prior experience with Power BI, Real Magnet, or Higher Logic is beneficial.
Strong logical and analytical thinker.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze a request, understand business process and objectives, and then develop an appropriate solution.
Ability to communicate and provide training on technical material to a nontechnical audience.
Ability to articulate thoughts and ideas and communicate through written works, audio conference, and web conferences.
Experience working with a membership association is a plus.
Should have at least five years of experience supporting netFORUM.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Microsoft SQL and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are a plus.
