We are the National Foundation of Infectious Diseases (NFID), located in Bethesda, MD. Since 1973, NFID has been dedicated to healthier lives through effective prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of infectious diseases. We are searching for a Manager, Communications & Marketing to assist in planning and implementation of NFID public outreach activities and marketing communications through electronic and print channels, including social media. This critical position reports to the Director of Communications & Public Outreach and will work with a small team of motivated professionals dedicated to the mission of NFID. You must have the ability work collaboratively in order to be successful in this role!
Responsibilities will include writing broadcast emails, press releases, blog posts, and reports, ensuring compliance with NFID style guidelines, monitoring and managing NFID social media activities, tracking and reporting on communication metrics, and developing strategies for growth of NFID social media/websites.
Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, English, communications, non-profit management, or a related field, a minimum of four years of marketing and communications experience (non-profit experience preferred), proficiency with MS Office, experience with email marketing systems, social media tools, and strong writing and editing skills with an eye for detail.
