Summary/Objective Responsible for working closely with volunteers and subject matter experts on development, programming and execution of all aspects of educational content related to the ACVIM Forum (including digital offerings), Advanced Continuing Education (ACE) courses and all other meetings, and conferences as assigned to create efficiencies and cohesiveness across all product lines. This position will evaluate the effectiveness of programs and modify as necessary to strive for high levels of satisfaction. Oversight of organizational research initiatives and supervision of staff responsible for publication-related functions for JVIM (Journal of Veterinary Internal Medicine) are also key responsibilities.
Essential Functions Work with staff, subject matter experts, volunteers, vendors and consultants to develop, implement, and maintain learning solutions that provide member value.
Execute all phases of in-person and virtual education program planning, which include content development, volunteer management, logistics and project management.
Research, select, and modify existing online content mission, delivery platform, content, materials, job aids, etc. to meet learning needs of all membership types addressing present and upcoming needs.
Review educational offering evaluations and current educational trends to make recommendations for program enhancements. Ensure that course content is up to date and platforms are functioning properly.
Work with volunteer committees to identify subject matter experts to lead educational programs on relevant topics meeting education needs across all specialties.
Analyze conference session attendee and survey responses along with other data to make educational program recommendations.
Support implementation timelines and maintenance plans for products and resources.
Collaborate with internal and external teams to manage education session scheduling, increase online education usage and promote educational offerings.
Create, implement and monitor revenue and expenditures associated with educational offerings in accordance with established fiscal policies.
Maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams, constituents, service providers.
Oversee ACVIM research initiatives, including existing grants programs in conjunction with staff and key volunteers.
Supervise JVIM staff and work closely with volunteer editorial board and outside publisher.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has supervision responsibilities.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in education, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience working with subject matter experts to develop program content, including at least 2 years at a management level, preferably in an association or member organization.
Strong track record of project and process management skills. Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for details under sometimes aggressive timelines.
Ability to apply adult learning theory and curriculum development as well as a passion for adult education and / or creating innovative learning experiences is a plus.
Demonstrated success in consensus building and working collaboratively to address the needs and recognize the contributions of a diverse group of stakeholders.
Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS-Word, Excel & Outlook) and solid working knowledge working with association management systems, Adobe Acrobat Pro, online forms, event management software, e-Learning tools and online community software. Ability to learn new software applications with relative ease.
Grant administration experience preferred.

Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States, have the ability to bend and lift or move up to 30 lbs. and be willing and able to maintain a flexible schedule, work additional hours as required and travel nationally 1 - 2 times per year.
