The Communications Associate is responsible for various aspects of the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA) communications, public relations, and marketing plans. This position may also assume responsibility for various aspects of the TSCPA student outreach program or other programs as deemed necessary.
Edit TSCPA Publications
Identify content and develop timeline for production of TN CPA Journal
Write and edit articles and columns as needed for the magazine, and cultivate relationships with authors
Write and edit content for other TSCPA print pieces
Identify and/or write content for TSCPA monthly e-newsletters, and other electronic communications
Edit/proofread all electronic communications, including marketing emails, membership outreach, etc.
Monitor and analyze news coverage regarding the accounting profession and TSCPA through online media, press clippings, etc.
Create and send out press releases for society news and events
Grow TSCPA social media presence by identifying and creating relevant content
Responsible for developing and administering the Society’s Public Relations programs
Works to enhance the image of Tennessee CPAs and provides members with products and information to do the same through the TSCPA online resource center
STUDENT OUTREACH & CAREER AWARENESS:
Serve as staff liaison to the Young CPA Committee
Coordinate and implement programs that will attract students into the CPA profession such as:
College/University Meet the Firm events
Student Ambassador program
Student Pipeline Program
High School Student and Educator programs
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field
