The ESOP Association, a Washington, D.C.-based national association representing companies with employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) seeks a qualified, experienced Director of Membership Development. This individual will lead a two-person Membership team and will be responsible for the association’s new membership recruitment and retention of current members.
The Membership Director is responsible for developing the long-term strategy for the association’s membership recruitment efforts and will report directly to the Association CEO. In addition, a successful applicant will need experience in interpersonal communication as this role includes frequent interaction with our engaged, enthusiastic and close-knit group of employee owners and service providers.
In addition, the Director of Membership Development will be responsible for reporting on membership developments to the Association Board and chapter leadership, and will use iMIS 20.2 to make updates to membership data, deliver reports and queries to senior leadership, and analyze statistical developments in the data to increase membership and improve membership outreach efficiencies. The Membership Director will also oversee the Association’s publications and direct staff to ensure publication coordination, marketing and order fulfillment.
Ideal candidate should be proficient with the use of databases, knowledge of MS Office Suite programs (Access, Excel, Word). Knowledge of iMIS 20.2 membership software is necessary. Computer network, desktop publishing and SQL knowledge will be a plus.
Salary and benefits: high $110K, low $90K range depending upon qualifications.
