Provides departmental administrative assistance in the areas of symposia support, online education and accreditation.
Assist Education Department leadership with the planning, execution, and follow-up activities of clinical symposia each year.
Assist with the planning and onsite implementation of hands-on cadaver/simulation/skills courses.
Actively partner with cross-functional teams in the planning and execution of meeting logistics, on-site AV, symposium marketing, evaluation and outcomes measurements, and corporate support funding for educational events.
Ensure implementation of safety guidelines when live surgical and/or technique demonstrations are offered.
Assists with the development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures for online education.
Facilitates, monitors, and manages educational-focused message boards/forums to ensure appropriate, ethical use.
Assists with the posting of online educational content.
Assists with the build out of online education courses.
Serve as initial point of contact for questions from educational program participants inquiring about CME and maintain updated member CME records.
Administer day-to-day operation of joint sponsorship program.
Administer day-to-day collection of documentation related to the accreditation process, keeping up to date and accurate records of program development, and input of required information into the Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS).
Facilitate participation in and usage of Educational Activity Planning form.
Facilitate collection and remediation of conflict of interest disclosure with the members of the Continuing Education Committee.
Serves as support to education committees.
Research new options and participate in department initiatives to leverage emerging trends in physician education and new technology.
General administrative duties such as polls, surveys, meeting creation, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience: Two years of office experience utilizing computer skills including the Microsoft Office Suite. Medical specialty association experience preferred. ACCME accreditation and cadaver science experience a plus.
Certifications: Not required but desirable.
