The Edison Electric Institute (EEI), the association that represents all U.S. investor-owned electric companies, has an outstanding opportunity for an Accounting Manager.
The Manager will play pivotal role by being responsible for managing the majority of the accounting transactional work including Billing and Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense Reporting, Account Reconciliations, Journal Entries and Year-end close activities. Responsibilities will also include the supervision and completion of monthly and year-end reconciliations of all Balance Sheet accounts and serving as the primary lead for the annual audits.
The successful applicant will have:
Bachelor’s degree with an accounting focus. CPA highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience including supervision required.
Prior employment with a public accounting firm required.
Experience with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense reporting and general accounting and reporting preferred.
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting procedures and software.
Experience with Excel, Great Plains, netForum, Concur, CVENT and/or workflow management systems is highly desirable.
Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills and an ability to prioritize, supervise and train others.
