The National Association of Homes Builders (NAHB) is seeking a Program Manager, Housing Finance who will be responsible for conducting research and monitoring and analyzing regulatory, legislative and industry issues to support the Association on housing finance advocacy issues. The Program Manager will coordinate several related Association meetings, task forces and working groups as well as external meetings involving industry leaders. He/she will also communicate regularly with these groups.
Qualified candidates will have knowledge of housing finance issues, ability to understand and interpret proposed legislation and regulations, and an understanding of the legislative and regulatory processes.
Candidates must have well developed writing, analytical and verbal skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with a wide variety of individuals. Candidates must also be able to understand complex and technical information.
A minimum of three years of experience in the areas of housing finance and/or economics and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, are required. A Master’s degree or higher in a related discipline is desirable.
