Atlanta-based national non-profit organization seeks energetic self-starter to plan and run 40- 50 meetings and events per year – ranging in size from 15 to 300 people – around the U.S., including two national conferences, regional and local chapter gatherings, one-day or two-day training seminars, online webinars, and Board of Directors meetings. Duties will also include long-range strategic planning; budgeting and event-related fiscal transactions; and various collateral duties (see Position Description). This position requires the ability to prioritize and operate well in a fast-paced environment – sometimes under pressure and handling multiple tasks simultaneously – while remaining proactive, positive, resourceful, and committed to customer service. Some association experience is required, as are superb interpersonal and communication skills. Must be team-oriented, with a high EQ and a proven ability to collaborate with teammates and other stakeholders. Excellent organization, project management, and time management skills are required. Must be able to think critically, independently, and creatively. Candidates with a proven record of being able to think strategically and execute tactically are preferred. Candidates should be lifelong learners and naturally curious, with a desire to understand COAA, its members, what they do, and how COAA and its events can better serve & support them. Wholehearted, transparent individual with a healthy sense of humor would be nice, too.
