Convenience Distribution Association (CDA) seeks organized, energetic team player for Director of Administrative Services & Executive Assistant. This position oversees the administrative functions of the association and provides support to the president and CEO.
CDA is a national trade association working on behalf of convenience products distributors that serve a variety of retail formats. Associate members include leading convenience products manufacturers, brokers, and others allied to the industry.
Primary duties include: • Plan, direct and coordinate support services of the organization • Billing and routine office operations • Coordination, preparation, execution of registration for two annual events • Manage activities related to the Board of Directors including communications, scheduling, and onboarding • Benefits management • Database management, annual renewal billing of membership, and quarterly advertising billing in Microsoft Dynamics CRM (training available) • Attend association events as staff support (Ex: Day on the Hill, State Assn Executive Summit) • Manage and assist with other projects as needed • Primarily virtual office that requires working in the Reston office one day per week.
Positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills are a must. Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft Office and be able to learn the organization’s database system and marketing tool.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience with trade association.
Some travel required.
Telecommuting is allowed.
Additional Salary Information: Competitive full-time base salary commensurate with education and experience ($60K-$80K range); health, dental, 401K
