The Water Environment Federation (WEF) is seeking a Membership Coordinator who will provide administrative and programmatic support to the Membership department. We are looking for someone who demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, is comfortable with current and emerging technology platforms, and has strong administrative and/or program support experience. The Membership Coordinator will work closely with the membership team to implement select membership recruitment, retention and engagement activities.
Assist Senior Manager with recruitment, retention and engagement activities including data entry and management, assisting with campaigns and monitoring engagement.
Monitor and respond to inquiries received via mail, email, phone; etc.
Produce membership reports, such as paid member counts, renewal and retention statistics, selection and management of list needs.
Ensure accurate member counts for reporting and membership fees tracking for accounting.
Handle AMS data entry of market codes and campaign information for recruitment campaigns.
Deploy digital onboarding and renewal acknowledgments monthly.
Coordinate member data downloads as requested.
Contribute content for WEF membership pages, blogs and social media outlets, as needed.
Aid Senior Manager in review and proofing recruitment campaign copy.
Track membership collateral inventory and ensure adequate levels of inventory are maintained.
Follow up with lapsed and dropped members via surveys and phone calls.
Provide excellent service to internal clients who seek assistance with member-related questions and projects.
Maintain online community (WEFCOM) for WEF Membership Committee.
Ensure Membership Committee meeting minutes and notes are posted online in a timely manner.
Provide support for other membership related tasks, as necessary.
Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
Minimum 2-4 years’ experience in a membership association or similar organization with a membership program, is required.
Experience in the preparation and fulfillment of data reports required.
Experience with Aptify, Personify, iMIS or NetForum Enterprise AMS preferred.
Demonstrated ability to develop good relationships with members and co-workers. Must be comfortable working within a highly, collaborative team.
Robust attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of information, including the ability to organize and analyze large amounts of data.
Excellent customer-service ethic and responsiveness.
Ability to work collaboratively in formal teams and informal working groups, as well as independently.
Ability to work well under pressure, determine priorities, and produce results.
Excellent organizational skills. Must be detail-oriented and strong multi-tasking ability, often with tight and/or changing deadlines.
Solid skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and other productivity tools.
Strong written and oral communication skills and able to present information persuasively to different audiences.
Must demonstrate accuracy and seek to improve/promote quality in the organization while exhibiting objectivity and openness to others’ views.
