The National Association of Home Builders is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence and Applications professional to contribute to a wide range of NAHB projects and products. This valued team member will work with departments throughout the organization to analyze and document end users’ needs and develop solutions that combine multiple data sets into reports, diagrams, and dashboards to achieve predictive actionable insights.
The analyst will be responsible for managing and improving our Microsoft based Business Intelligence (BI) Platform. He/she will lead efforts to sustain and improve key business systems and will manage vendors and external consultants in the development and implementation of COTS or custom applications that meet NAHB’s requirements. To achieve this, the Analyst will develop a detailed and comprehensive knowledge of the various applications and systems.
A minimum of four years of experience developing application software and creating solutions on the Microsoft SQL Server Platform is required. Candidates should also have at least one year of experience with delivering BI solutions in an Office 365 environment. Knowledge of the following is required: OLTP systems, .NET programming, SQL programming as well as Data Warehousing, ETL tools, and Business Intelligence tools. Any experience with front-end analysis services tools like Power BI, Tableau, Performance Point Server, ProClarity, Excel, or Crystal Reports, is helpful. Candidates should also have experience with dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, and SQL Server Stored procedure development. A sound understanding of ETL design using Integration Services from multiple data sources is beneficial.
Qualified candidates will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. Candidates should be self-motivated with an attention to detail. Exceptional communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to complex challenges is required. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or the equivalent in education and experience, is required. Experience with SQL Server, Reporting Services, Analysis Services, Integration Services, Power BI, and SharePoint/O365 is also required.
