The Accounting Supervisor will work closely on multiple functions within the Company to drive execution, compliance, and process improvement.
Responsible for the oversight of operational accounting functions.
Develops and analyzes financial transactions and provides analysis of monthly comparison reports.
Prepares financial statements.
Ability to lead month-end and year-end accounting close process.
Ability to guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
Reconcile and review assigned balance sheet accounts.
Ability to adjust to varying cash flow levels and prioritize Accounts Payable payments.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Ability to provide status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
Continually develop, document, and implement workflows and processes to improve efficiency.
Ability to prepare specific reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Adherence to federal, state, and local regulations and requirements.
Maintains a high level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism in handling of financial and proprietary information.
Well-developed financial analysis capabilities. Working knowledge of (system), and/or other database and accounting computer application and reporting systems to supply the most accurate financial information.
The ability to provide insight into drivers of reported financial results.
An effective communicator with strong collaborative, oral and written skills.
Supervises and develops 2 direct reports.
Provides motivation, direction, and positive, collaborative team leadership.
Coach, train, and communicate timely and regular feedback to the team.
Assists in the recruitment and hiring of team members.
Develops and maintain appropriate performance tracking and communicate performance issues.
Provides input to formal performance appraisals and/or prepare and deliver appraisal.
Other duties as assigned.
Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or related field
5 years of experience in accounting/finance, including a minimum of 3 years Public Accounting experience
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior payroll experience is beneficial.
