The Financial Services Institute (FSI), the leading trade association for independent financial services firms and independent financial advisors, is seeking an energetic and highly-motivated professional to fill the role of Education Manager. This position will work closely with FSI volunteer councils, staff and speakers to develop, deliver and evaluate high-quality and profitable education programs that align with FSI’s goals and objectives.
Essential functions of the position include:
Education Content Development
Lead all phases of content development and delivery for FSI events, including FSI’s OneVoice conference, FSI Forum & Capitol Hill Day, and various webinars and workshops.
Cultivate and deepen relationships with FSI members, sponsors, and volunteers in an effort to anticipate their needs and ensure valuable experiences for all stakeholders.
Manage ongoing event logistics and marketing, including prep calls and updates to the website and mobile app.
Manage FSI webinars by providing technical training to staff and speakers, coordinating logistics, and hosting both live and on-demand webinars for members.
Provide staff support to FSI’s councils and task forces by:
Updating and communicating council standards
Ensuring deadlines are met for meeting agendas and other deliverables;
Facilitating annual member transitions and new member orientation;
Assisting councils with formulating and pursuing their yearly priorities consistent with FSI’s mission and strategic objectives, and otherwise participating as necessary.
Work with councils to identify areas where FSI can advocate on behalf of membership interests and/or provide value-adds;
Identify potential areas of cooperation between various councils and/or FSI
Motivate and equip council members to become active and effective participants in FSI's advocacy efforts.
Communicate and coordinate Council activities and/or resource needs with the appropriate members of FSI staff.
Management of all project elements within time limits and on budget.
Assist in budget development and manage tracking and reconciliation of all event expenditures to stay within or below budget.
Develop member and attendee surveys to measure and evaluate satisfaction, needs, etc.
Effectively collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to identify and meet their needs.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
Minimum of 3-5 years developing education programs.
Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate with subject matter experts and committees.
Excellent organization, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
A proactive, positive attitude with a dedication to meeting the needs of customers.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong PC skills using Microsoft Office software; CRM experience is a plus
Association experience and/or Financial Industry knowledge
