What we’re looking for: We are seeking a talented individual responsible for supporting peer review for all RSNA journal related products, including processing manuscripts and acceptances; assisting authors, editors, and reviewers; and ensuring accurate and quick communication from the journals.

What you'll do:
Monitor journal e-mail boxes daily and respond to all inquiries in a timely manner. Reach out to other publications staff for assistance in answering questions. Check for bounce-backs, failures, and responses, and take appropriate follow-up action. Answers the journal phone
Check submissions (original and revised) to ensure all files for format compliance and verify the presence of the necessary forms and permissions and correspond with authors as necessary to obtain needed information
Complete final check of accepted manuscript components before sending to production
Under direction of the Editors, invite authors to submit commentaries and other manuscripts for subspecialty journals. Track submissions and communicate schedule changes to Managing Editor.
Work with Senior Peer Review Manager and Assistant Director: Journal Operations providing customer support to maintain and modify website for manuscript submission and peer review.
Provide trouble-shooting for authors, reviewers, and editorial board members, including offsite feature/guest editors, who use the website for manuscript submission and review.
Write and maintain documentation for peer review processes, both for internal use and for authors.
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree required
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook required
Comfort in learning complex manuscript management system, experience with ScholarOne Manuscripts a plus
Able to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong communication and organizational skills
