This junior-level position primarily supports EWA’s membership recruitment and retention activities (approximately 20% of your time) and associated membership database (30%), renewal invoicing (30%), and event support (20%). The successful candidate should have approximately 2-3 years experience with membership and/or database management, be a self-starter with strong Microsoft Office skills, and have exceptional attention to detail, including excellent writing skills. They are articulate and have highly professional phone and interpersonal skills.

Report to Membership Director, and manage customer and membership management system (via the open source CiviCRM) with data entry, reporting, and other database management duties.
Distribute new-member kits and conduct welcome calls to verify receipt of member benefits.
Assist with membership marketing initiatives and membership dues modeling and analyses.
Lead the monthly membership renewal invoicing function, in collaboration with Accounting and I.T. departments.
Collaborate with Information Technology department to institute CRM enhancements where needed, e.g., for interoperability with EWA’s e-commerce portal, Cevo.
Organize and manage EWA’s marketing presence and booth logistics at industry trade shows and events.
Organize and manage off-site and teleconference meetings such as Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and other committees, and coordinate logistics with venues/hotels.
Work closely with EWA Conference Director to assist with annual conference planning, attendee and exhibitor registration, and event support and marketing.
Organize and manage internal meetings and off-site staff functions, and coordinate logistics.
Support multiple departments with office operations duties, e.g., clerical assistance to senior leadership, including travel arrangements, and provide backup to office coordinator for mail, reception, and other office operations duties.
Support special marketing, communications, clerical, and other office projects and duties as assigned.
The position requires strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel; also, very good phone and interpersonal communication skills. Work will primarily be driven by email and phone interaction.
2-3+ years of experience in non-profit membership or for-profit customer service role.
Experience with membership recruitment and invoicing, and promoting related services.
Experience with event and conference planning, hotel contracts, and exhibitor relations.
Excellent writing, proofreading, and verbal skills; professional interpersonal skills.
Well organized, team-oriented, attention to detail, with positive and results-oriented work ethic.
Rock-solid Microsoft Office skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. QuickBooks accounting software and CiviCRM a plus. Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills a plus, including functions and formula construction, sorting/filtering, pivot tables, graphing data, macros, data grouping, if/then and what-if analyses.
College degree preferred or related work experience
Limited travel to U.S. destinations required, 2-3x/year
