About the Position:
*Due to COVID-19, our headquarters, located in Midtown Manhattan, is currently closed. All employees are working from home until we can safely reopen the office. RIMS follows the mandatory and recommended best practices from the CDC, OSHA, and state and local offices. This position will be required to return to the office for training purposes. We provide our newly hired employees with a detailed, remote onboarding experience. Additional information will be provided during the interview process.*
As the Certification and Designation Specialist, you will act as the primary contact for member relations and client service requests related to the RIMS-Certified Risk Management Professional (RIMS-CRMP) certification, RIMS -Canadian Risk Management designation (RIMS- CRM), and all organization products and services.
You will be responsible for providing professional support of all membership operations, including renewals, applications, eligibility, financial transactions, and system inquiries as well as collaborate with multiple business units to increase member retention and recruitment.
Your first 90 days will involve developing your knowledge of RIMS services and offerings to enable you to provide a personalized and engaging experience for every client.
To be considered for this role, you must have experience managing relationships, display the highest integrity, and be fully capable of working in a fast-paced environment with minimal requirement for task-driven supervision. You must be a team member with a proven record of excellent written and verbal communication skills, experience in database management, and be a self-starter and problem solver.
What you will do daily:
Respond to all membership inquiries, financial and eligibility requirements as well as recertification, and establishing the qualifications pertaining to RIMS-CRMP certifications and CRM designations.
Enter and manage all current and prospective candidate records across multiple database platforms.
Document, maintain, distribute, and implement processes and procedures for RIMS-CRMP and CRM candidate registration, test administration, issuance, and on-going maintenance.
Generate reports and documents from the Association Management System (AMS).
Work in partnership with external vendors to manage all exam logistics.
Collaborate with the Director of Certification Programs and external vendors on system integration, security standards,
application processes, payment methodologies, database management, test delivery communication, and test deployment within the external vendor platforms (scheduling, data transmission, troubleshooting, monitoring progress).
Process financial transactions related to the RIMS-CRM exam registrations, designation reinstatement, and other miscellaneous fees.

What makes you a good fit (Qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
3+ years’ experience providing member/client support in related industry required; international experience preferred.
3+ years’ experience using customer relationship management (CRM) and/or association management systems (AMS) preferred; similar systems/ databases required.
