GENERAL SUMMARY The Product Manager (PM) plays an important role in the product lifecycle management and new product development for ENA educational offerings and related resources. The PM is responsible for new concept development and supporting research. In addition, the PM will manage the product Gating Process including concept, design, competitive analysis testing, forecast, cost, production, promotion, and product end of life. This role will involve working closely with the education team, as well as in partnership with business development, marketing, IT, and course management to plan and prioritize the development of new products and enhancement of current products to ensure that ENA remains the gold standard for emergency nursing education. The PM will also participate in special project requests. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Initiates new product ideas and through customer analysis and partnership with various team members, develops compelling value propositions to support the growth of our education offerings.
- Utilizes the gating process, communicates product plans across all stakeholders, establishes product timelines and manages the development process ensuring a timely launch date.
- Maintains an understanding of the changing complex product market landscape and trends, target market needs and behaviours, competitive offerings and technology trends shaping product decisions, plans and priorities while applying functional knowledge.
- Researches current products to provide valuable insight, recommendations, and selling advantages to support the Business Development and Marketing teams.
- Collaborates with cross functional teams across all levels while maintaining trust to further long-term relationships.
- Influences others including nurse education leaders, instructional design, marketing, finance, operations, business development, and technology to concept, develop and execute product plans in accordance with the product portfolio.
- Engages in opportunities to work with outside vendors and other industry partners in the product development and implementation of new products.
- Ensures consistent execution of product development processes based on product management standards, principles, and continuous improvement practices.
- Contributes to the ENA workplace culture that is consistent with the association’s culture statement and emphasizes the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
- Displays a high level of accountability, taking responsibility for individual actions and the impact on the organization. Views oneself as a reflection of the organization by following through on commitments and accepting ownership.

QUALIFICATIONS Required: - Bachelor’s degree, Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of product management experience within healthcare or educational content
- Experience developing new products and managing the product lifecycle
- Project management experience
Desired: - Experience in incorporating virtual technologies into educational products
- Association experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Nature of work requires an ability to operate standard business office equipment. Requires ability to communicate verbally and in writing in an exchange of information; collect, compile and prepare work documents; set-up and maintain work files. WORKING CONDITIONS Majority of work is performed in a general office environment. Occasional travel may be required.
