Association of Energy Services Professionals (AESP) Position Description: Membership Director
ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION Founded in 1989 as a not-for-profit association, AESP is a member-based association currently serving 2,300+ members in the United States and Canada through its main organization and 11 Regional Chapters. AESP is dedicated to improving the development, delivery, and implementation of energy efficiency, demand-side management, distributed energy resources and demand response programs. AESP does this by delivering accredited educational courses, member-driven publications, conferences and online collaboration tools as well as through the growth of its regional chapters and networking events. AESP is a family-friendly workplace with a strong emphasis on work/life balance and diversity. Relocation is not required.
SUMMARY The Membership Director is responsible for the growth and maintenance of all AESP members and managing their overall experience and participation in the Association. This position is also responsible for working closely with each member organization to maximize their staff’s participation in the Association and optimize the overall member experience. Additionally, the Membership Director is responsible for implementing fundraising and business development activities to build capacity for the organization and its current and/or future offerings. This position will work closely with AESP’s content development team, marketing and outreach staff and the program delivery team to identify engagement opportunities that meet each organizational member’s specific needs. The Director will also lead the execution of member renewal and recruitment campaigns.
