Summary: This position is responsible for conceiving, managing, and supporting digital experiences that drive expanded customer participation and engagement. This role will be responsible for developing and executing organic and paid social media strategies, managing WEF’s social media channels, and growing WFE’s online presence and reach through enhanced digital engagement. The position sets and tracks performance metrics and collaborates with colleagues across the organization to set strategy and ensure measurable success. This position seeks to improve the performance and relevancy of social media channels through continuous optimization and to expand WEF’s digital engagement of customers and prospective customers.
Develop and own the WEF social media strategy, based on the organization’s Brand and Marketing/Communications objectives
Create and implement engaging content and campaigns for Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Feathr, and any other emerging channels
Serve as point person for organization on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, Feathr, etc.
Work closely with colleagues on effective use of social media to augment efforts from marketing and communications including regular interactions with membership, association & engagement, publishing, education, and technical programs
Sees how products and services from across the organization can be messaged and packaged for the benefit of the customer; able to build effective relationships across the organization to accomplish that objective
Acts as an advocate to create an effective digital experience for the customer, integrating the use of social media within WEF’s outreach through multiple digital platforms and collaborating across the organization to develop effective and coordinated outreach and messaging
Ensure alignment between paid and organic social media
Monitor social media performance on an ongoing basis to guide strategy optimization, and articulate the reason for strategy decisions to management and the marketing and communication team
Set goals, objectives, and KPIs in line with the social media strategy including audience engagement and growth goals across all social platforms
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to continually identify ways to improve customer digital engagement
Curates WEF’s multimedia content (videos, photographs, graphics, blogs, podcasts) and deploys the content via social media
Utilize data-driven evaluations and insights to develop and implement best practices and continuously improve our social media presence by making recommendations for necessary adjustments
Stay current on industry trends and technological developments. Share this information and best practice with team members/staff and implement these trends to evolve WEF’s social media strategy
Creates basic graphics for use on social media

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Multimedia Content or related field
4-6 years of relevant experience
Experience with social media management and tracking tools – Hootsuite experience a plus
Demonstrated social media analytics tool experience; Ability to interpret online engagement metrics
General knowledge of Search Engine Optimization and Internet ranking for web content
Writing experience for social media channels
Basic video editing and photography skills is a plus
Working knowledge of Canva for graphics creation a plus
Knowledge of online marketing and marketing channels
Attention to detail and ability to multitask
Excellent writing, editing and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as team player who will productively engage with others at varying levels of seniority within the organization.
