Position: Marketing Manager, Association Management Services (AMS)
Reports to: Vice President of Marketing & Communications

The Marketing Manager, Association Management Services plays an important role in developing and implementing marketing activities for programs of NPMA’s nine managed state associations. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and Communications, this role works closely with account managers to execute specific tasks in a timely manner to support the associations’ meetings, membership, and other programs, as necessary. Ideally, the candidate will be comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a small, close-knit team and thrive in a deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate must be able to balance the needs of multiple concurrent projects and initiatives in an organized and responsive manner.
Provide marketing and communications support for managed states
Work closely with account managers of these managed states to develop and implement marketing and communications plans for meetings, member recruitment/retention, and monthly e-newsletter communications.
Maintain websites, regularly review information and assess needed edits.
Collaborate with account managers and marketing team to develop successful member recruitment and retention campaigns.
Manage advertising for all managed states including outreach and invoicing.
Write press releases announcing new meetings and programs.
Assist with graphic design for meeting promotions ensuring design concept and message is consistent throughout all communications.
Keep inventory of office supplies (envelopes, labels, etc.) for all managed states.
Perform general administrative duties, including serving as member of back up team for answering telephones, database entry, coordinating mailings, etc.
Additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Communications or related discipline
3-5 years of experience in member relations, association management, member marketing/communications, program/product marketing (trade association experience preferred)
Prior experience using Informz or similar preferred.
Prior experience using content management systems preferred.
Prior experience with Aptify or similar AMS required.
Must be able to juggle multiple projects, prioritize requests and meet deadlines.
Possess strong initiative and be results-oriented.
Requires excellent written and oral communication and project management skills.
Attention to detail and strong follow up.
