This position assists in the management of the committees and workgroups through which members of the professional society seek to achieve the mission of cultivating innovative educators, researchers, and clinicians in academic general internal medicine, leading the way to better health for everyone. This position works closely with the Project Management Director in executing the details of day-to-day operational activities of the society’s programs. The ideal candidate takes initiative and has strong time management, organizational and technology skills. Individuals who can successfully multi-task, proactively communicate and who are tech savvy will be successful in this position. If you love developing relationships, then this position is for you. Duties & Responsibilities:
Primary Duties:
- Provide administrative support to the committees and workgroups of the professional society of academic general internists.
- Maintain knowledge and wherewithal of society products, services, and activities at a foundational level to best deliver superior service to members.
- Manage incoming email, mail and telephone inquiries for committees and membership related issues.
- Assist in the coordination of day-to-day operational activities of the society’s member-led programs including but not limited to:
- Coordinate committee communications including monthly emails, call reminders, agendas, website updates and surveys,
- Maintain committee and workgroup roster data and monitor member terms,
- Provide administrative support for special projects and initiatives for membership and committees,
- Coordinate the award selection process and order awards for award winners,
- Assist with submissions from committees and workgroups publications of the professional society,
- Assist with committee member recruitment and retention administrative duties.

Education/Experience:
- College degree in a related field and 2-4 years equivalent experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Association experience highly preferred
